Quinton is not a big fan of reading books although you would never know it from the following pictures.
As a teacher (and as a mom) I know how important it is to read to your kids. It can increase their vocabulary immensely (something like 2000 more words by the time they are in school--statistics vary, but still it is huge). Anyway, I have really been struggling reading to Quin consistently (he is nothing like his sister was at the this age--imagine that) because he always slams the book shut when you are trying to read (or even point to pictures) and gets very frustrated. Well, my mom was watching the kiddos one day and she discovered that he would listen to one of the farm animal books (trust me, we have tried many, many, many before this). It is very simple, as you can see, and he LOVES it. So here is my, YES, MY SON DOES LIKE BOOKS post!

I am so glad it was not just me - he would always bring me a thousand books and turn the page after three words!! ;)
